Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) Eco-systems (工業物聯網生態系統)
Due to the explosive growth of various devices, traditional Internet is not capable of interconnecting all of them and process traffic flows in real time. Internet of Things (IoT) is proposed to handle not only human-initiated communication but also machine-type communication. However, different from the Internet, IoT further needs to consider the autonomous machine-to-machine (M2M) behaviors, such as device and group management, application and data discovery, identification and security of devices and applications, etc. Therefore, how to establish one practical IoT eco-system rapidly and interoperably becomes one emerging and necessary research issue. Regarding the industrial concern, industrial IoT, a.k.a., IIoT, requires ultra low delay and highly reliable characteristics. Based on the aforementioned assumption, NESL would focus on (1) heterogeneous integration and (2) standardized interoperability. The practical solution of our proposal is to utilize (i) several standardized open source projects, e.g., Eclipse OM2M, OCF IoTivity, Eclipse Ditto, LWMQN, Ble-shepherd, Zigbee-shepherd, and Coap-shepherd, and (ii) multiple IoT/IIoT standards and protocols, e.g., OneM2M, LWM2M, BLE, Zigbee, MQTT, and CoAP.
由於各式各樣裝置的爆炸性增長,傳統網際網路無法將所有裝置互互連接以及即時消化流量,因此,物聯網被提出,不僅可以處理人類觸發之網路連線,還可以處理機器類型的資料交換。然而,與網際網路不同,物聯網還必須考慮自主性的機器對機器行為,例如:設備和群組之管理、應用服務和資料之自主發現、設備和應用服務之識別與安全等。因此,如何快速建立一個實用且兼具可互通的物聯網生態系統成為一個新興且必要的研究議題。考量工業應用需求,工業物聯網進一步需要超低延遲和高可靠的特性。基於上述假設,本實驗室(NESL)將重點關注於(1)異質整合和(2)標準化互通性。我們建議的實際解決方案是利用(i)幾個標準化開放式原始碼專案,例如:Eclipse OM2M、OCF IoTivity、Eclipse Ditto、LWMQN、Ble-shepherd、Zigbee-shepherd和Coap-shepherd,以及 (ii)多個IoT/IIoT標準和協定,例如:OneM2M、LWM2M、BLE、Zigbee、MQTT 和CoAP。
