I am a professor in Vehicle Engineering at Taipei Tech. I am also the director of Intelligent Automotive Electronics Research Center. My main research interests include Decisions and Control of Automated Driving, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Vehicle Dynamics and Control, Power Management System of Hybrid Electric Powertrain, Electric Vehicle, and Battery Management System.
I graduated from Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering (now changed to Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering) at National Taiwan University in 1994. After the military service, I went to University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1996. I got dual master degrees from Mechanical Engineering in 1997 and Electrical Engineering in mid 2000. Later on, I obtained my doctoral degree from Mechanical Engineering by the year end of 2000. I started working at American System Technology, Inc. and was assigned to work in the department of powertrain control at Visteon as a software and strategy engineer from January 2001. After coming back Taiwan, I started as an assistant professor in Vehicle Engineering at National Taipei University of Technology since August 2001.
