Practical Achievements

Obtained one domestic invention patent: "Fast Calculation Method for Feature Values in Software Radio Decoder" (Patent No. I 362186).

Previously co-led government-industry-academia collaborative projects: "106 Technical and Vocational College Teaching Excellence Program and Technical Institute Teaching Excellence Program - Examination Platform Project."

Currently collaborating with Dr. Yueh-Teng Hsu, an AI Data Scientist at Amazon (Taiwan), on the development of AI-based wireless communication resource allocation and software acceleration techniques for single-image depth estimation. The collaborative research results have been published in the following:

  1. Shu-Ming Tseng, Cheng-Hsun Tsai, and Yueh-Teng Hsu, "DNN-based cross-layer resource allocation of NOMA-OFDMA video transmissions without post-processing," in Proc. 2021 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE), Las Vegas, USA, 10-12 Jan. 2021, pp. 1-3.
  2. Yueh-Teng Hsu, Chun-Chieh Chen, and Shu-Ming Tseng*, "GPU-Accelerated single image depth estimation with color-filtered aperture," KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, vol. 8, no. 3, pp. 1058-1070, Mar. 2014. [SCI]

Previously collaborated with Dr. Yueh-Teng Hsu from Aeolus Robot and Dr. Ching-Wen Huang from Shin Kong Hospital on the development of panoramic endoscope design using convex parabolic mirrors, providing previously unavailable side-view images to reduce the missed detection rate of intestinal tumors. The implementation research results were published in an SCI journal:

  1. Shu-Ming Tseng, Jian-Cheng Yu, Yueh-Teng Hsu, Ching-Wen Huang, Yuh-Feng Tsai, and Wei-Chung Cheng, "Panoramic endoscope based on convex parabolic mirrors," Optical Engineering, vol. 57, no. 3, 033102, Mar. 2018. [SCI]
