This project implements the Antenna-on-display (AoD) concept, proposed by Prof. Wonbin Hong form POSTECH, Korea, using the environment of display in a mobile phone and achieve an antenna covering 700-960 MHz and 1710-2690 MHz. The design environment is discretized into several microwire meshes. The antenna is developed along these wire meshes, which makes the overall configuration optically transparent. Our future work is to integrate the current LTE antenna with other antennas operating in 5th-generation mm-wave bands, making the design suitable to future communication standards.
