In this study, we propose a high-gain wearable antenna operated at 28 GHz for ring environments. As the fifth generation (5G) communication becomes more and more important, 28-GHz point-to-point communications via two ring devices are promising. We develop a two-element patch array located on a ring. This patch array is fabricated on a RO4003 substrate. The peak gain is 9.3 dBi, and the return loss is greater than 10 dB at 28 GHz. Moreover, we fabricate a ring using additive manufacturing technology. The proposed antenna array is integrated with this ring, showing an attractive appearance and desirable performance.
