A gain-enhanced antenna is designed for satellite communications. The architecture consists of a reflectarray, solar panels, a WiFi module, and a sensor, operating at 2.4-GHz frequency band. The reflectarray is comprised of 6 by 6 elements, which are based on a patch structure. The solar panels are used to power the WiFi module. The architecture is fabricated and testes. The antenna gain is 10.6 dBi. The solar panels successfully power the WiFi module. We receive the signal even though a high communication distance is considered. Additionally, the physical supporter is fabricated using three-dimensional printing technology.
