In this project, a 4 × 1 microstrip antenna array is designed and manufactured using three-dimensional (3D) printing technology. This 3D-printing antenna array is designed at 2.40‒2.48 GHz, connected to a Bluetooth speaker so that the performance of the antenna can be evaluated as a system. The antenna performance is simulated using HFSS. Also, the reflection coefficient of the prototype is measured using a vector network analyzer. To evaluate the radiation performance, we design two microstrip antenna arrays with the same specification fabricated on FR4 substrates. The insertion loss between the two FR4 antennas and the two 3D-printing antennas are measured and compared. By such, the peak gain of the 3D-printing antenna can be tested without measurement in an anechoic chamber.
