In this project, we propose a logo-type antenna for UHF reader modules. This antenna is based on meander-line dipole, and we design its topology as NTUT, which stands for the abbreviation of National Taipei University of Technology. The antenna depicts good impedance matching over 902-928 MHz. The gain, efficiency and radiation patterns meet the requirement of a UHF RFID reader. We successfully integrates the proposed antenna, a reader module with a smart phone. As such, reading RFID tags does not need a commercialized handheld UHF RFID reader; by using the proposed system, a smart phone can perform the mission of a UHF RFID reader.
